Gender
Warriors,
is a work in progress that is looking at the intersections of sex,
race and gender identity. It is looking at females of color who are
gender non-conforming, and poses several
questions.
They include but are not limited to; Why is there a societal need
for appropriate gender presentation? How are gender
variant identities racialized? Who and what do prescribed gender
presentations serve? Why do those who do not conform to prescribed
gender identities
and presentations become targets for discrimination and violence?
